Mother Teresa was the Albanian icon of compassion and humanitarianism. Her commitment to public service continues to inspire the world today. In her honor, the Albanian American Student Organization is proud to host our anual Mother Teresa Service Day. The purpose of the event is to bring together individuals from all backgrounds to volunteer at different sites in the Metro Detroit area in honor of Mother Teresaду»s legacy and her passion for community service. The event is organized by AASO chapters at Wayne State University, Oakland University, Michigan State University, University of Michigan - Dearborn and Ann Arbor, and Grand Valley State University. To register, please go to: http://www.theaaso.org/Mother_Teresa_Service_Day.html Registration starts at 8am at University of Michigan Dearborn; volunteers pick up t-shirts and breakfast is served. At around 8:45am volunteers head out to their perspective sites and return back to University of Michigan - Dearborn, where they pick up their certificate of service, have lunch, socialize, and later listen to speakers talk about Mother Teresa and philanthropy. Last year was a great success; help us make this year even better!
